Love these freaking creatures, their regal posture and slow movement. They can be very fast, however, in sight of a prey. I saw them jumping vigorously. They use their forked tongue to smell and locate prey. It is funny to watch them in the wild.

There are a lot of these creatures on Cayman Islands. Some species reach about 4 feet in total length.

When pioneers came to these islands, they saw a great number of huge lizards living there. They thought they are crocodiles and named the islands Cayman, which is a type of crocodile.
