Black Crowned Night Heron original oil painting is painted with a palette knife and a brush and is 100% hand painted. I spotted this nice medium sized bird on the bank of the pond in a tropical garden during my Hawaii vacations. It had a thin crest going down from its head and looked very graceful and smart. It was not scared of people and let me to come close enough to see all the details, from attentive look to neat claws. I didn't know its name then and only googled it after. Every bird has its own character, as human. I enjoy painting them a lot. All sides are painted. The signature is available on the front and back of the painting.
